Nordine Taleb is no longer with the UFC, but the competitor is looking to get back on track when he faces Maarten Wouters in the main event of ARES FC 2.
Taleb (15-7-0) has won just one of his last four heading into this encounter, with that lone win coming over Kyle Prepolec at UFC Fight Night Ottawa. Taleb’s last bout in the UFC came at UFC 242, which was a first round knockout loss to Muslim Salikhov. Taleb could be competing for the final time as a professional MMA fighter, as the fighter previously stated that the next bout could be his last.
Wouters (10-6-0) enters the contest riding a two fight losing streak, dropping bouts to Melvin Van Suijdam and Angelo Rubino. Wouters hasn’t picked up a victory in over two years, with that last win coming over Kostas Calibas at a Fight Club Hoeselt event in November of 2017. Wouters has picked up ten wins as a professional MMA fighter and seven of them came by way of KO/TKO.
The co-main event is going to be a battle of UFC veterans as John Moraga is in action against Hector Sandoval.
ARES FC 2 takes place on Friday, April 3 from the Forest National Arena in Brussels, Belgium with Nordine Taleb and Maarten Wouters headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
