Three-division champion, Gervonta Davis, will return to the ring against undefeated slugger Rolando Romero on December 5 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California on Showtime PPV.
Davis confirmed the bout via the following tweet posted to his official Twitter account. Mayweather Promotions CEO, Leonard Ellerbe, gave ESPN the following statement about the matchup as well.
"These two guys, they despise each other," Ellerbe said. "Ten years from now these guys will still hate each other. It's a terrific fight, this will be like a modern day Hagler-Hearns fight from the opening bell. Tank's the most exciting fighter in the entire sport and Rolly is a very exciting knockout puncher himself. This fight will definitely end in a knockout."

Davis is currently undefeated as a pro at 25-0 and will be defending the WBA lightweight title against Romero. He won the belt from Mario Barrios back in June via an eleventh-round TKO. Romero on the other hand is 25-years old and currently has a 14-0 record as a pro. He defeated Anthony Yigit via a seventh-round TKO back in July in his most recent bout.
