GGG Insinuates Chris Eubank Jr. Won't Sign Their Contract, Eubank Responds

Gennady Golovkin is ready to fight, but according to him, Chris Eubank Jr. is holding things up.

Golovkin (35-0, 32 KO) took to his Twitter account on Wednesday, announcing that he'd come to terms to defend his title against Chris Eubank Jr. (23-1, 18 KO). Golovkin, the IBF/WBA/WBO/WBC middleweight champion also mentioned that Eubank has slowed the process by not yet signing.

“ Everything agreed from our side, now waiting for @ChrisEubankJr, who all of a sudden has lost his pen... ,” Golovkin said in the post

According to Eubank, he doesn't even have the contract, which would be kind of hard to sign if true. Eubank responded on Twitter, saying that GGG has nothing to be concerned about.

“My pen is in my hand ready & waiting to sign as soon as I get the contract... don't you worry about that,” said Eubank

GGG is set to fight Eubank Jr. in Eubank's homeland of the UK, in the event that the British champion Eubank does sign the allegedly unsent contract.

Golovkin's manager spoke with Boxing Scene recently and had some interesting words for Eubank.

"We've negotiated with Eddie Hearn for several weeks and we agreed on all of the terms. As the negotiations were ongoing, Eubank Jr spoke to the media and demanded that a contract be signed. It's time to find out whether Eubank Jr and Eubank Sr are only able to talk or if they're able to back up their words by signing the contract.”

Here's to hoping to two stars can make it work.
