Former UFC title challengers, Gilbert Burns and Jorge Masvidal are set to meet in the co-main event of UFC 287 on April 8.
UFC President Dana White officially confirmed the booking via a live video stream on Friday. Burns is 6-2 in his last eight Octagon outings and is coming off a first-round submission win over, Neil Magny, back at UFC 283 in Brazil earlier this month. Masvidal meanwhile is currently riding a three-fight losing streak and will try to bounce back from a unanimous decision defeat to former interim UFC welterweight champion, Colby Covington, at UFC 272 last March.
