Heather Hardy is making her sophomore MMA appearance at Bellator 185, where she faces Kristina Williams in a main card encounter.
During the official weigh-ins for Bellator 185, the New York native was confronted by another professional boxer and former opponent in Shelly Vincent.
Hardy defeated Vincent by majority decision in August of 2016 to win the WBC International Female Featherweight Title.
The pro boxer turned MMA fighter downplayed the entire scenario, even calling her former opponent and obsessed fan.
“I’m completely focused on my opponent right now and keeping my undefeated record wherever I fight,” Hardy said to MMA Fighting. “Besides, that was just one of my obsessed fans.”
Vincent, who was held back by Bellator MMA security during the weigh-ins, gave her side of things during an Instagram post:
There is no word yet on whether or not the two will collide in a boxing ring again or if the feud will transition to the MMA cage.
Bellator 185 takes place on Friday, October 20 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut with Gegard Mousasi and Alexander Shlemenko headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Spike TV.
