One of the most decorated heavyweight fighters in MMA history, Fabricio Werdum is reportedly considering retirement from the sport — this and much more on Wednesday's social media roundup.
Fabricio Werdum considering retirement from MMA
Over his long 24 year career, Fabricio Werdum has cemented himself as one of MMA's best heavyweight fighters of all time with huge wins over the likes of Fedor Emelianenko and Cain Velasquez as well as winning the UFC heavyweight title.
Werdum signed with the promotion PFL last year and despite being arguably their biggest signing of the year, on Tuesday, the promotion announced their heavyweight roster for the 2022 season and the Brazilian was not on the list.

Werdum has only fought in PFL once and it was ended very controversially.
The result of the fight originally was a TKO win for Werdum's opponent Renan Ferreira but was overturned and deemed a no contest after footage showed that Ferreira previously tapped out to a triangle choke which Werdum had locked in on him.
In an interview with Ag.Fight , Werdum revealed that the travelling which it takes for him to be fully committed to MMA is the main reason as to why he is considering his retirement.
Werdum also revealed that he would step into the boxing ring if he was proposed with an exceptional amount of money.
Now that it looks like Werdum will probably be retiring, where do you rank Werdum on the list of best heavyweight fighters of all time?

Ilia Topuria unsure of which weight class to fight at
After his impressive performance at 155 pounds against Jai Herbert at UFC London, ranked UFC featherweight Ilia Topuria is seemingly pondering over which weight class to continue fighting at.
145 or 155? --
— Ilia Topuria (@Topuriailia) March 29, 2022
UFC London was actually the first time Topuria fought at lightweight and if he can keep delivering results like he did against Herbert then he will have no problems settling into life at lightweight.
Despite Topuria looking good at 155, he has a ranking at featherweight which he has worked towards for a long time and might be too much to give up considering the amount of competition he would have to go through to get the same at lightweight.
