On his 39th birthday, former San Francisco 49ers running back, and future hall of famer made his professional boxing debut Saturday night in Biloxi, Mississippi.
Gore, ranks third all-time in NFL rushing yards, and is the all-time leader in games started by a running back. He scored an outstanding fourth round knockout to beat the buzzer against fellow debutant Yaya Olorunsola. Gore made his boxing debut in 2021 in an amateur bout vs former NBA star Deron Williams, but this bout was his professional debut, and Gore looked strong, especially for someone taking up combat sports in his late 30s.
