Former UFC women's bantamweight champion, Holly Holm, and contender Mayra Bueno Silva are scheduled to headline a yet-to-be-announced UFC Fight Night event on July 15.
Journalist Ariel Helwani was the first to report the news of the matchup being in the works on Wednesday's edition of his show The MMA Hour, although the promotion itself has yet to officially announce anything regarding the booking or event. Holm is 3-2 in her last five Octagon appearances and is coming off of a unanimous decision win over, Yana Santos, at UFC on ESPN 43 back in March. Bueno Silva meanwhile is currently riding a three-fight winning streak since returning to 135 pounds over a year ago. She will look to build on a second-round submission victory over, Lina Lansberg, at UFC Vegas 69 in February in her latest outing.
