Israel Adesanya has been arrested at JFK Airport in New York City for possessing brass knuckles whilst going through airport security, TMZ has revealed.
Adesanya, who seemingly would've been on his way back home to New Zealand, was arrested at around 1:57 PM this afternoon and it is unclear as to whether Adesanya will remain in custody or will be issued with a Desk Appearance Ticket.
If charged and convicted, Adesanya could face up to one year in jail plus additional fines so this could have serious repercussions on Adesanya.
Adesanya lost his UFC middleweight title this past weekend at UFC 281 where he was finished in the last round by his long time rival Alex Pereira.
