Jake Paul has found his replacement opponent for Tommy Fury on August 6.
Paul officially announced via a tweet on Thursday that he will now face, Hasim Rahman Jr. next month from Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York instead of Fury. SI's Chris Mannix was the first to report the news of the matchup being in the works on Tuesday. According to a report from TMZ Sports last week, Fury's withdrawal stems from him being denied entry into the U.S. due to his family's ties to suspected crime boss, Daniel Kinahan. Paul is 5-0 since becoming a pro boxer in January 2020 and is coming off of a sixth-round KO win over former UFC welterweight champion, Tyron Woodley, back in December. Rahman Jr. meanwhile is the son of former unified heavyweight champion, Hasim Rahman, and is 12-1 overall as a pro currently. He will try to rebound from the first defeat of his professional career, a fifth-round TKO loss to James McKenzie Morrison back in April.
