Lightweight contender James Vick has signed a new, four fight contract with the Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC).
The last fight on Vick’s old deal took place last month at UFC 211, where the newly re-signed fighter knocked out Marco Polo Reyes.
Vick currently holds an 11-1-0 record as a professional MMA fighter, with a 7-1-0 record coming in UFC competition.
Those seven wins Vick earned in the UFC have come over Ramsey Nijem, Valmir Lazaro, Nick Hein, Jake Matthews, Glaico Franca, Abel Trujillo and Marco Polo Reyes. The lone loss Vick suffered in the UFC and as a pro came to Beneil Dariush at UFC 199 in June of 2016.
Despite having earned seven wins thus far in the UFC, the newly signed Vick isn’t ranked in the top 15 of the lightweight division.
Now that the fighter has a new contract with the promotion, a fight should be announced for him in the coming weeks.
It was through the UFC Ultimate Fighter 15 that Vick found his way into the UFC, the fighter earned a 3-1-0 record during his time on the reality show. Vick’s only loss on the show would come to Michael Chiesa, who wound up winning the whole thing that season.
