Glover Teixeira scored a third round submission win over Thiago Santos in the main event of UFC Vegas 13, putting him in line for a potential shot at UFC light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz.
Blachowicz has taken to Twitter to lay out a path to a title showdown, but it depends on what Israel Adesanya’s plans are:

Adesanya is expected to get the next shot at Blachowicz, but Blachowicz recently stated that he cannot defend the title until March due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic in his home country of Poland. If Teixeira winds up getting the title shot, it would be his first opportunity at the gold since losing to then champion Jon Jones at UFC 172 in April of 2014.
