UFC Sao Paulo was memorable for perhaps some of the wrong reasons Saturday night.
The night was headlined by the countryman and UFC mainstay Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza, making a jump to 205 pounds late in his career, while still the #8 Middleweight. In his was was the #6 Jan Blachowicz, who was able to squeak out a split decision win in a less than thrilling main event.

The co-main event didn't end any better. The legendary Mauricio "Shogun" Rua, the #14 light heavyweight in the world, didn't necessarily do anything to lose that spot, but he didn't beat his opponent in Paul Craig, either. The two went to a split draw, with no man earning their win bonus. At 37 years old, Rua has only one loss in the last five years, and only one loss in hit last six fights.

The only other ranked fight on the show saw #13 Charles Oliveira obliterate Jared Gordon. Elsewhere on the show, the fall from grace continued for former UFC Champion Renan Barao, who got swept by Douglas Silva De Andrade in a prelim bout.

The show drew an impressive 10,344 fans for a sellout. Oliveira, James Krause, Ricardo Ramos and Randy Brown would all earn $50,000 Performance of the Night bonuses for their finishes.
