Jessica Andrade Comes To The Aid Of Cyborg

It is well known by now that Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino punched Angela Magana at the UFC fighters retreat, a punch that was a receipt for the negative Twitter posts by Magana towards Cyborg.

Since it is highly unlikely that Cyborg and Magana will ever collide in the Octagon, women’s strawweight fighter Jessica Andrade has decided to challenge Magana to a fight on Cyborg’s behalf.

Andrade made the challenge via Twitter:

Following the challenge, the Brazilian spoke with MMA Fighting about her reasons behind defending her friend.

"Cris is a big friend of mine and I respect her a lot, and I saw everything that on Twitter, (Magana) disrespecting Cris,” Andrade said. "I think you have to respect every fighter. She was acting like a clown. Cris visited a hospital for people who are battling cancer, something everybody should respect, and she’s making fun of it. That’s ugly."

There has only been one response from Magana to the challenge, which was to go down a similar path she went down with Cyborg.

If the fight ever does come to fruition, the Brazilian says that it’s going to be an easy win for her.

"It’s not a tough fight,” Andrade said. "I can knock her out, I can submit her. I’ll win this fight by knockout and tell her inside the Octagon to be humble and respect people."

Magana hasn’t won a fight in just about six years and Andrade is coming off of a loss to UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk at UFC 211.
