One slam changed everything for Jessica Andrade.
Jessica Andrade captured the UFC Women's Strawweight Title in the main event of UFC 237, slamming Rose Namajunas on her head in the second round, knocking her out in the process. The first round was all Namajunas, who found her range early and busted up the left eye of Andrade. The Brazilian nearly landed a couple of slams in the first round, but Namajunas kept hold of a kimura, preventing the full impact. The one time Andrade was able to put Namajunas on the ground after a big lift, Namajunas quickly transitioned the kimura into an armbar.
Andrade was able to change her fortunes in the second round, taking a more aggressive approach. This time, when she got a hold of "Thug" Rose, she was able flip Namajunas' kimura attempt and slam the champion on her head/neck. Namajunas was out on impact.
