A women’s flyweight division bout is the latest addition to UFC Fight Night St. Louis as Jessica Eye is in action against Kalindra Faria.
Eye (11-6-0-1NC) has won just one of seven fights under the UFC, which was over Leslie Smith at UFC 180. Eye also hasn’t earned a victory in over three years, as the win over Smith took place in November of 2014. Of the six people Eye has lost to or fought to a no contest in the UFC, four of them have either held or challenged for the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Title.
Faria (18-6-1) is currently winless thus far in UFC competition, dropping a fight to Mara Romero Borella by submission at UFC 216. Faria is also a former Titan Fighting Championships Women’s Bantamweight Champion, defeating Carina Damm at Titan FC 41 to win the gold. Faria suffered a total of five losses before signing with the UFC earlier this year and three of those losses came to UFC veterans.
UFC Fight Night St. Louis takes place on Sunday, January 14 from the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
