Following her explosive knockout loss in the rematch against Weili Zhang at UFC 275, former UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jędrzejczyk announced her retirement from mixed martial arts.
Jędrzejczyk was coming back from a layoff of over two years to rematch Zhang after they had engaged in the greatest women's fight in UFC history back in 2020. Jędrzejczyk seemed to be coming back to make one final run at another title run, but with the devastating loss to Zhang, her retirement felt inevitable.

Jędrzejczyk departs the UFC with a 10 win and 5 loss record, and her five successful defenses of her strawweight title mark her as the consensus greatest strawweight in the history of the sport. Jędrzejczyk is a lock to be inducted into the UFC hall of fame, both as an individual, but also with Zhang for their fantastic first fight from 2020.
Enjoy your retirement, violence queen.
