Joaquin Buckley Wants James Krause Fight Next

Joaquin Buckley last competed on the preliminary card of UFC 255, scoring a second round knockout victory over Jordan Wright.

A surging Buckley knows who he wants next in the Octagon and that is James Krause and Buckley would like to have the potential fight happen on January 23.

“Everybody knows who it is. If you do your homework, if you do your research, it won’t be hard to find. He knows who he is and if he’s ready Jan. 23, let’s make it pop,” Buckley said at the UFC 255 post-fight press conference (via Matt Erickson & Ken Hathaway of MMA Junkie).

There is no way to know exactly when the rivalry between the two began, but things began heating up in recent months when Krause called Buckley a clown during the UFC Fight Island 6 post-fight press conference.

Krause is currently on the shelf with a knee injury, so it is unknown if he’ll be ready by the January 23 date set by Buckley.
