Jon Jones Admits He Doesn’t Hate Daniel Cormier

MMA

Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones and current champion Daniel Cormier have been involved in a heated rivalry for quite some time now.

Despite the lengthy rivalry with DC, the former champion admits that he doesn’t hate Cormier at all.

"With Daniel, when we argue, I usually get the last laugh. I literally don't hate him. I just don't think he's very bright, verbally speaking. He's all mad at me because he doesn't get my jokes,” Jones said to Bleacher Report.

In their first meeting at UFC 182, the former champion successfully defended the gold against Cormier with a unanimous decision win.

Even though he doesn’t hate his longtime rival, the challenger wants to beat him bad for the hate he gets from the champion.

"I really just want to whoop his ass because of how much he hates me. I beat him, and he has the championship belt by default. It's time to get back in there and fight,” says Jones.

UFC 214 takes place on Saturday, July 29 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
