Former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones defeated Alexander Gustafsson in their first and only meeting thus far in the main event of UFC 165.
Gustafsson recently did an interview where he stated that a victory over Jones would be bigger that winning the UFC Light Heavyweight Title.
Jones heard what Gustafsson said and the former champion claims that the Swedish fighter could never defeat him.
Those thoughts from Jones were shared via a pair of Twitter posts:
@AlexTheMauler Beat me in three? Your hands were the only thing you had over me in our first fight. That gap is closing fast. Our first fight will be the greatest thing you’ve ever done inside of that octagon. You will never beat me, that’s my promise to you.

A potential rematch between the two in the Octagon seems unlikely right now, at least until Jones finally gets his punishment by USADA for a failed drug test in line with UFC 214.
If a bout in the Octagon between the two doesn’t come to fruition, another option according to Gustafsson would be for them to meet in the boxing ring.
