“Here we are again,” UFC President Dana White said. “Jon Jones was training last, night got injured. He was wrestling and tore the tendon that connects your pec to the bone, off the bone. Eight months, going to need surgery. He’s out.”

The company revealed that Jiri Prochazka and Alex Pereira will be the new main event. Sergei Pavlovich and Tom Aspinall have been added to UFC 295 in an interim UFC Heavyweight Title fight. Many had suggested that Pavlovich deserved a title shot over Miocic to begin with, as Pavlovich has won six straight fights over four-plus years by first round KO.
