Former UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping has made a lot of enemies throughout his professional MMA career and one of them is Jorge Masvidal.
Following an incident in which Bisping ripped a miniature Cuban flag at UFC 213, a bounty has been placed on the fighter according to Masvidal.
“I just don’t like him as a person,” Masvidal said on MMA Junkie Radio. “I never really liked him before I met him, and after we had our encounters I liked him even less. With him, it’s just a personal thing. He disrespected my country when he ripped up the flag, so he’s got the bounty on his head. I would like to cash in before he retires. That’s why I’m willing to fight so early (in March).”
Even though Masvidal says Bisping has a bounty on his head, one thing that Masvidal doesn’t mention is who put the bounty on the former champion.
Masvidal didn’t want to fight until this summer, but is willing to face Bisping earlier if need be.
“That takes a bit of time to learn those things and execute them. That’s the only reason I’m willing to step up early because I don’t like Bisping’s ass,” says Masvidal.
Bisping may be retiring this March, which means that Masvidal’s chances at collecting the so called bounty are lessening with each passing day.
