The Titan Fighting Championships Flyweight Title is going to be defended in the main event of Titan FC 48 as Jose Torres defends the gold against Alberto Orellano.

Torres (6-0-0) is making the second defense of his championship, last defending it against UFC veteran Pedro Nobre at Titan FC 43. Torres is also the Titan FC Bantamweight Champion, defeating Farkhad Sharipov to win the belt and he has already defended it once. Torres also went undefeated during his eight fight run as an amateur competitor, with all of those wins coming in the Tuff-N-Uff promotion.

Orellano (3-2-0) enters the bout on a two fight losing streak, suffering defeats to the duo of Juan Puerta and Claudio Ledesma. Orellano hasn’t earned a victory in almost four years, with that last win coming over Juan Rafael Guariguata Campos at Striker Fighting Championships 15. Orellano is also competing for a title for the first time in his professional MMA career, which has lasted almost five years now.

Two other titles are going to be defended on the card as Raush Manfio defends the lightweight gold against Lee Lilly and Rami Hamed faces Jose Caceres for the vacant welterweight strap.

Titan Fighting Championships 48 takes place on Friday, February 16 from the Xtreme Action Park in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with Jose Torres and Alberto Orellano headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
