UFC featherweight contenders Josh Emmett and Dan Ige are set to collide at UFC 269 on December 11 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
BJPenn.com's Cole Shelton was the first to report the news of the matchup, although the promotion is yet to officially announce the bout. MMA Fighting's Mike Heck also reported that Emmett was originally slated to face undefeated Englishman, Arnold Allen, but that Allen ultimately couldn't accept the fight because he's currently recovering from a hand injury. Emmett last competed at UFC Vegas 3 in June 2020 against Shane Burgos and won the bout via a unanimous decision, but suffered a brutal knee injury during the fight that will have sidelined him for eighteen months when he makes his Octagon return in December. Ige on the other hand is 2-2 in his last four bouts and will try to bounce back from a unanimous decision loss to Chan Sung Jung back at UFC Vegas 29.
AWESOME Co-main
