Las Vegas Judge Boulware has agreed to grant preliminary approval for the $375 million settlement in UFC antitrust lawsuit brought forward by Cung Le.
TKO filed a document on September 26, 2024, announcing that the company "reached an agreement with the plaintiffs to settle all claims asserted in the Le case for an aggregate amount of $375 million payable in installments over an agreed-upon period of time by the Company and its subsidiaries (the “Updated Settlement Agreement”), following the court’s denial of an earlier proposed settlement agreement. The terms of the Updated Settlement Agreement have been memorialized in a long form agreement, which will be submitted to the court for approval. The Company anticipates that the settlement amount will be deductible for tax purposes."
This lawsuit covers fighters who competed from December 2010 to mid-2017. Fighters will now weigh in and a final ruling will be made in the coming months.
Cung Le, Nate Quarry, Jon Fitch, and others were involved in the original lawsuit. The plaintiffs were seeking between $800 million and $1.6 billion in damages from the UFC.
