Undefeated Bellator flyweight champion Juliana Velasquez and former two-time UFC title challenger Liz Carmouche are set to headline Bellator 278 on April 22 at the Neal S. Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu, Hawaii.
MMA Junkie's Nolan King was the first to report the news of the matchup, although the promotion has yet to officially confirm anything regarding the booking. Velasquez is coming off of a split-decision win over Denise Kielholtz at Bellator 262 in her latest title defense, whereas Carmouche is 3-0 in her last three outings and will try to build on a 35 second TKO victory over Kana Watanabe at Bellator 261.
3️⃣5️⃣ seconds is all @IAmGirlrilla needed to put an exclamation point on her flyweight title aspirations!
