UFC Ultimate Fighter 18 winner Julianna Pena suffered her first loss in the UFC at UFC On Fox 23, she was submitted in the second round by Valentina Shevchenko.
Pena compares herself to an NBA legend as she copes with defeat, which she did with a statement on Facebook:
Pena won four fights in the UFC prior to suffering that defeat to Shevchenko, those four wins came over Jessica Rakoczy, Milana Dudieva, Jessica Eye and Cat Zingano. It was the first loss in nearly four years for Pena, who’s last defeat came to DeAnna Bennett at Showdown Fights 10 in February 2013.
