Justin Gaethje Wants To Fight Tony Ferguson, Ferguson Responds

Former WSOF Lightweight Champion Justin Gaethje made his UFC debut in the main event of the UFC Ultimate Fighter 25 Finale, defeating Michael Johnson by second round TKO.

For his next Octagon appearance, the lightweight star wouldn’t mind fighting Tony Ferguson.

“That’s what I want (a fight with Tony Ferguson),” Gaethje said after the event. “Michael Johnson whooped his ass, so I will break him. Guaranteed. Call me a liar all you want.”

Ferguson himself hasn’t competed since defeating former UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael Dos Anjos in the main event of UFC Fight Night 98.

Upon getting word of the challenge from the former WSOF Lightweight Champion, the top ranked Ferguson would respond via Twitter:

One thing that Ferguson would like added to the fight is to make it for the interim lightweight title, as the current UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor is currently preparing to box Floyd Mayweather this August.
