Kai Kamaka III Replaces Sean Woodsen vs. Jonathan Pearce At UFC Vegas 15

Jonathan Pearce has a new opponent for UFC Vegas 15 after the withdrawal of Sean Woodsen and Kai Kamaka III is that new opponent.

The news was announced during the UFC 255 broadcast.

Pearce (9-4-0) is winless thus far under the UFC banner, having dropped a bout to Joe Lauzon at UFC Fight Night Boston. Pearce also competed on Dana White’s Contender Series Season 3, Episode 3, defeating Jacob Rosales by third round TKO. Pearce has competed a total of 13 times as a professional MMA fighter and just two of those bouts went the distance.

Kamaka III (8-2-0) is undefeated thus far in UFC competition, defeating Tony Kelley by unanimous decision at UFC 252. Kamaka III enters the contest riding a six fight winning streak and he hasn’t been defeated in over three years. Kamaka III has seen his last seven bouts go the distance and it has been over six years since the fighter got a finish.

UFC Vegas 15 takes place on Saturday, November 28 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Curtis Blaydes and Derrick Lewis headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN 2.
