The 2021 PFL Championship will be headlined by the promotion's biggest star, two-time Olympic gold medalist Kayla Harrison taking on Taylor Guardado for the PFL women's lightweight title.
The promotion confirmed the Harrison-Guardado main event matchup and the entire lineup for the event that takes place on October 27 from the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida with the following tweet. The night's main card that will be airing on ESPN2, also features defending PFL welterweight champion Ray Cooper III taking on Magomed Magomedkerimov in the co-main event, and two-time Olympic gold medalist boxer Claressa Shields making her return to the Decagon for her second pro-MMA bout when she takes on Abigail Montes.

Harrison has become one of the brightest stars in combat sports, currently sitting undefeated as a pro at 11-0, and is coming off of a first-round TKO win over Genah Fabian at PFL 8. She said back in August that the promotion will have to offer her "life-changing money" if they hope to retain her services after this fight. Guardado on the other hand is coming off of a split-decision win over Mariana Morais also back at PFL 8.
