Kelvin Gastelum was all set to fight former UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva at UFC 212, but then got pulled from the fight due to a potential USADA violation.
Even though he cannot compete at UFC 212, the TUF champion would still like a shot at the MMA legend.
Gastelum made the request for another chance at Silva via Twitter:
My apologies and respects to @SpiderAnderson , I Can't make it to the dance in Rio, how about we dance in New York in July? @ufc @UFCONFOX

The event in New York this July that Gastelum is referring to is UFC On Fox 25, which takes place on Saturday, July 22.
Following his request on Twitter, a fan question whether Gastelum just wanted to fight old washed up fighters and this was his response:
@StandWithSean @SpiderAnderson @ufc @UFCONFOX Im fighting legends!

Silva has yet to respond to Gastelum, as he is currently campaigning to fight Yoel Romero for an interim middleweight title at UFC 212.
UFC 212 takes place on Saturday, June 3 from the HSBC Arena in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil with Jose Aldo and Max Holloway headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
