Undefeated women’s bantamweight fighter Ketlen Vieira picked up her second win in the UFC when she defeated Ashlee Evans-Smith at UFC On Fox 24.
With her two UFC wins in the past, the female star would like to fight a top 10 opponent in her next Octagon appearance.
“I want to try to stay in the top 10,” Vieira said after the event. “I want more fights to stay in the top of the division.”
Evans-Smith was ranked #13 when Vieira defeated her this month, with the win coming by way of decision.
Vieira is happy with the victory and she is also pleased with the game plan that was implored for the fifteen minutes she was in the Octagon.
“I’m very happy,” Vieira said. “I trained hard for this fight. I’m so happy now. I tried to make Ashlee fall back, dominate the fight, stay in the middle of the cage and control all the time.”
In her first ever UFC appearance, the undefeated Vieira defeated Kelly Faszholz by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 96 in October 2016. Vieira primarily competed in her home country of Brazil before coming to the UFC, fighting in such promotions as Big Way Fights and Mr. Cage MMA.
