Rafael Fiziev has suffered an injury and has been pulled from Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 12, replacing him against Joey Gomez is going to be Kevin Aguilar.
Gomez (7-0-0) is going to be making his DWTNCS debut in this encounter and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted over five years. Gomez has seen just one of his seven professional MMA bouts go the distance and that came against Zach Zane at Southside Boxing: War On The Valley Isle 5 in November 2016. Gomez also returns to action for the first time in almost a year, as his last bout came in September of last year.
Aguilar (14-1-0) is also going to be making his DWTNCS debut in this encounter and does so while riding a six fight winning streak. Aguilar is also the current Legacy Fighting Alliance Featherweight Champion and a former Legacy Fighting Championships Lightweight Champion. Aguilar has suffered just a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to UFC veteran Leonard Garcia at Legacy FC 26.
