Khabib Nurmagomedov Says Kevin Lee Has A Small Heart, Lee Responds

Khabib Nurmagomedov is in the midst of preparations to fight UFC Interim Lightweight Champion Tony Ferguson for the undisputed title next month at UFC 223.

Ferguson defeated Kevin Lee for the interim belt at UFC 216, but it was a fight that proved to Nurmagomedov that Lee had a small heart.

“He wants to be tough but he has very small heart,” said Nurmagomedov on The Exchange. “Very small heart. When he fought with Tony Ferguson, between second and third round, you guys can watch his face and understand everything. Face never lie. His eyes - when Tony Ferguson talks about, ‘This is my night!’ his face agrees with this.”

Lee has called out Nurmagomedov a few times in post-fight interviews, but the bout between the two never came together. Lee now moves onto fight Edson Barboza at UFC Fight Night Atlantic City, as Barboza is the man Nurmagomedov defeated at UFC 219 to get a title shot.

The fighter with the supposed small heart would heart about what Nurmagomedov said and then would issue a response of his own through Twitter:
