Khleo Thomas would love to work more with WWE in the future, including being part of a talk show where he can help promote WWE as Arsenio Hall did in the '90s.
Khleo Thomas is yet another Hollywood name enthralled with the world of WWE. In the past, Thomas has appeared on the Braxton Beat, a streaming show Kayla Braxton did during the global pandemic, and on WWE This Is Awesome on Peacock where he helped talk about some of the most memorable moments in the history of WWE SmackDown.
Khleo Thomas recently appeared on Conversations with The Wrestling Classic. During the interview, he spoke about his past interactions with WWE and his desire for more.
"I've had the chance to work with WWE on a few things when they've come to LA," he said. "They had me come backstage to shoot this cool [This Is Awesome episode] and it was like the top 25 SmackDown moments. I really walked into that interview like, 'I'm, going to show how much I love this and how much I care. I'm bringing up this moment, this moment, this moment, and help set up the selling of the Cody Rhodes and Roman feud. I just ripped. It's been great, man. We've had a great conversation since, and we shall see how it plays out."
Justin Dhillon brought up the possibility of a late-night talk show on Netflix that perhaps Thomas could host. Dhillon would reference Arsenio Hall and how much his enthusiasm for WWE shined through when he would interview wrestlers as opposed to someone like Jimmy Fallon today.
Thomas was not only receptive to the idea as a way to further spotlight professional wrestling but said that if he was in such a situation that would be part of his plan.
"That would be my plan bro. That would be my play, for sure. I think there is a way to connect an audience who may not be fully understanding or immersed in that world, and when you have a wrestler there with you, you can show them. You can try to highlight all aspects of them, but if you and the wrestler are having a conversation based off a storyline with this other guy, that's only going to intrigue the audience more. Like, 'Wait, what do you mean they fought in the back? What do you mean he went to the roof?'"
Thomas then referenced a recent fight between Bronson Reed and Seth Rollins that spilled over into the backstage parts of the arena.
"For instance, with Seth and 'Big' Bronson Reed going at it, which was a lot of work. A lot of work that I put into that setup for these two to be fighting at Crown Jewel."
Thomas also gave a shout-out to Kayla Braxton for reaching out to him in the first place. Kayla recently left WWE and is currently exploring expanding her own horizons in Hollywood. Learn more here.
