WWE NXT Preview, Start Time, How To Watch (12/24): Stephanie Vaquer vs. Cora Jade, Santa Claus Appears

- The show begins with Drew McIntyre in the ring. McIntyre talks about how he went home because a family member passed away after his Hell In A Cell match against CM Punk.

Drew mentions that only one person reached out to him while he was gone. Drew does not believe Sami Zayn when he says that Roman Reigns is a changed man. Drew says he will give no more to anyone and start taking from others.

Drew says anyone who has wronged him should sleep with one eye open, and then Sami Zayn's music hits, and he shows up. Sami says everyone thought McIntyre was recovering from a brutal Hell In A Cell match.

Sami says he has gone through everything that McIntyre went through, and they chose this path and chose to be a WWE Superstar. Sami says that the fans go through their struggles and losses like they do.

Sami says that just because McIntyre is angry does not make him special, but if McIntyre wants to stay angry, nobody will stop him. McIntyre says his anger comes from a place of pain and wants to know why Sami wants this fight when he has never beaten him. Drew suggests that Sami go to his family and leave the arena.

Sami admits that McIntyre is right about having his number and that he is not 100%. He says he would rather fight and punches McIntyre in the face. McIntyre begins fighting back, and Jey Uso appears to be about to attempt to hit the Claymore. Sami and Jey clothesline McIntyre out of the ring following a thrust kick from Jey. We go to a commercial break.

- IYO SKY defeats Natalya & Alba Fyre to advance to the second round of the Women's Intercontinental Championship Tournament.

- There is a backstage segment with Judgment Day, where Liv Morgan and Finn Balor are bickering at each other.

We have a backstage segment with Sami Zayn and Jey Uso, during which they discuss who would get a shot at going against Drew McIntyre first.

- Chad Gable (w/ The Creed Brothers & Ivy Nile) defeated Akira Tozawa (w/ Otis & Maxxine Dupri)

- We get a backstage segment with Dominik Mysterio and The New Day. The New Day says that Dominik knows what they are going through, and Dom replies, "I don't like Big E, but what you guys did was messed up." As Mysterio walks away, Woods yells out and says that he "Looks like a broke-ass Tom Selleck."

- Damian Priest defeats Dominik Mysterio after Finn Balor attacks Damian Priest. The Judgment Day is beating down Priest, but The War Raiders make the save.

- Jackie Redmond interviews Seth "Freakin'" Rollins. Rollins says he has repeatedly tried to explain how he feels about Punk. Rollins says CM Punk needs WWE, not the other way around, and that it eats away at him. Rollins tells Redmond he has to have this fight CM Punk after seeing him hand-in-hand with Roman Reigns and became angry and wants the fans and Punk to see his anger. Rollins says there will be a side of him that nobody has ever seen.

- Dexter Lumis defeats The Miz after Karrion Kross and The Final Testament begin attacking Lumis. The Wyatt Six make the save.

- There is a backstage segment with Damian Priest congratulating The War Raiders on winning the Tag Team titles.

- Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston come to the ring through the crowd receiving a chorus of boos from the crowd. They hold commentary accountable for their words that insult Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett. Woods insults Barrett further by mentioning he never got back into the ring. Kofi's mom was at the ringside; Kofi said that she had taken a twenty-hour flight from Ghana to get there. Kingston approached his mother for a hug before she walked off to Kingston's dismay.

- Drew McIntyre defeats Sami Zayn. Drew continues attacking Zayn. Jey Uso comes to make the save, but The New Bloodline (Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Solo Sikoa) attacks Jey Uso and Sami Zayn. They are checked on by medical staff as the show ends.
