Izzy Moreno reflects on visiting backstage at TNA Wrestling.
While Izzy Moreno became famous for being a fan of NXT and regularly attending those events, a generation beforehand, TNA Wrestling was the dominant Florida wrestling promotion, regularly running television tapings at Universal Studios. TNA Wrestling also proudly put a spotlight on women's wrestling nearly a decade before the WWE Women's Evolution.
Recently, Izzy Moreno visited backstage at TNA and detailed the experience in a new interview with Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp. She says she spoke to Tommy Dreamer and noted that if she becomes a TNA Knockout one day, she would be honored.
"It was so much fun. I had the honor of being backstage, briefly talked with Tommy Dreamer, and just everybody there is absolutely incredible. I can really see myself fitting there, elevating that brand. They have an incredible women's roster, incredible men's roster too, but just the environment back there was absolutely incredible. So, if I become a TNA Knockout, that would be kind of awesome. But hey, we're keeping my options open. Whoever is willing to have me and would want to have me, I'll take the ball, and I'll run with it," she said.
Izzy will be a part of the GCW event, which will begin the tournaments to crown WWE ID Champions. However, will not be participating in tournament action. Learn more about that here.
At this link, fans can read about a recent social media interaction she had with Mercedes Mone, formerly Sasha Banks, a wrestler who made her cry as a child.
