Lena Ovchynnikova Faces Denise Kielhotlz At Bellator 196

The co-main event is set for Bellator 196 and it takes place in the women’s flyweight division as Lena Ovchynnikova is in action against Denise Kielhotlz.

Ovchynnikova (12-5-0-1NC) has won two of four under the Bellator MMA banner, with those wins coming over the duo of Karla Benitez and Helen Harper. Ovchynnikova has also suffered defeats to two UFC veterans during her professional MMA career, with those UFC fighters being Mara Romero Borella and Joanne Calderwood. Ovchynnikova has earned the majority of her professional MMA victories by submission, with the last submission win coming in October of 2014.

Kielhotlz (1-1-0) earned her first professional MMA win last year at Bellator 188, defeating Jessica Middleton by first round submission. Kielhotlz made her professional MMA debut over two years ago at Torarica Summer Fights 1, suffering a first round submission loss to Juliete De Souza Silva. Kielhotlz has no amateur MMA experience to speak of, but she is also a highly decorated kick boxer.

Bellator 196 takes place on Friday, April 6 from the Budapest Sports Arena in Budapest, Hungary with James Gallagher and Adam Borics headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs via tape delay on the Paramount Network.
