Round Five: The round begins with Edwards attacking Dos Anjos with some leg kicks, Dos Anjos charges forward and swings away at Edwards. Dos Anjos grabs Edwards and he gets him against the cage wall, the fighters separate and Dos Anjos has multiple exchanges with Edwards. Edwards would call out rival Jorge Masvidal after the fight, as they have unfinished business after a backstage scuffle at UFC Fight Night London. Edwards has now won seven straight under the UFC banner, while RDA has now won just one of his last four bouts.
The event also saw other top 15 fights unfold, with a gaggle of them going to decision. #13 Alexander Hernandez defeated unranked Francisco Trinaldo, #6 Jennifer Maia defeated #5 Roxanne Modafferi and #6 Raquel Pennington defeated #10 Irene Aldana, all by decision.

They didn't all go to the scorecards, though. #14 Walt Harris flattened #9 Aleksei Oleinik with a nasty series of strikes in just twelve seconds, while Dan Hooker may have entered the top 15 with a first round finish over #15 James Vick.
