Leon Edwards vs. Khamzat Chimaev made official
Dana White revealed on Instagram that the UFC is returning to Fight Island and the UFC Fight Night on January 20 will be headlined by Edwards vs. Chimaev. The pair had been scheduled to fight in the penultimate 2020 card UFC Vegas 17. When Edwards tested positive for COVID-19, however, the fight was postponed. Fight Island will once again take place in Yas Island in Abu Dhabi for three cards in January.

Michael Chiesa vs. Neil Magny in the works
Michael Chiesa and Neil Magny have agreed to fight on the January 20 Fight Night card headlined by Edwards vs. Chimaev, per ESPN's Brett Okamoto. One of the two welterweights could serve as a potential backup should the main event fall apart.

Kai Asakura vs. Kyoji Horiguchi to headline Rizin 26 on New Years Eve
The Rizin FF bantamweight title will be on the line as a rematch between Kyoji Horiguchi (28-3) and Kai Asakura (16-2) will take place on their December 31 card. Horiguchi is a former Bellator and Rizin bantamweight champion and will be looking to avenge his last defeat which was against the current champion Asakura by TKO after just 68-seconds,
Szymonm Kolecki vs. Martin Zawada will headline KSW 58
Polish Olympic gold medalist weightlifter Szymon Kolecki (8-1) is looking to continue his recent undefeated streak as he is 3-0 in his last three fights with KSW. He will face 17-year German veteran Martin Zawada (29-15-1) in the main event of KSW 58. Zawada has a brother David who fights for the UFC. The event will take place on January 30 in Lodz, Poland.
Marcus "Buchecha" Almeida making MMA professional debut vs wrestling star Oumar "Reug Reug" Kane announced for ONE Championship
Marcus Almeida will make his professional MMA debut when he takes on Senegalese wrestling star Oumar Kane. The pair will fight for ONE Championship on February 24. Almeida is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist and has yet to fight in MMA, whereas amateur wrestling star Kane has fought once in 2019 with French MMA pioneer Ares Fighting and won by TKO in the second round vs. Sofiane Boukichou.
