Makwan Amirkhani Saves Brother From Getting Stabbed

Makwan Amirkhani will be competing this coming Saturday at UFC Fight Night 107 against opponent Arnold Allen. A few weeks ago, Amirkhani got a phone call from his brother’s wife and she said that a friend's home was being robbed. Amirkhani and members of his family went to the home to investigate, which is where the robbers saw them and tried to make a run for it.

Amirkhani and his brother engaged the suspects, then it appeared that one of the robbers pulled what was thought to be a knife on Makwan’s brother.

“It looked like a knife and I thought they were stabbing my brother,” Amirkhani said on The MMA Hour. “I was like, ‘I don’t care. They can stab me, too. But I’m gonna help my brother.’”

There would be no knife in the end, but the suspect was holding a screw driver and that’s when the suspect met a predictable end.

“I was like, he’s gonna die now,” Amirkhani said. “All I needed was one punch and this f*cking guy was lying on the snow. Then it was all over the news.”

The UFC veteran posted a photo with himself, his brother and the suspect to Facebook:

UFC Fight Night 107 takes place on Saturday, March 18 from The 02 in London, England with Jimi Manuwa and Corey Anderson headlining. Fightful will be providing live coverage of the event.
