Seven fight UFC veteran Marcos Rogerio De Lima has been notified by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) of a potential violation of its drug testing program.
The Brazilian fighter failed an out of competition test that was conducted on August 1. The substance in which he failed for has yet to be revealed.
Due to the potential failed drug test, the fighter has been pulled from a upcoming bout against Saparbek Safarov at UFC Fight Night: Rotterdam. The fight was set to be a part of the preliminary card.
UFC officials are seeking a replacement for De Lima, but nothing has been announced at this time.
De Lima has a 4-3-0 record thus far under the UFC banner, with those four wins coming over Richardson Moreira, Igor Pokrajac, Clint Hester and Jeremy Kimball. This is also the Brazilian fighters first potential USADA violation, no penalties have been issued to the fight thus far.
