Fans who were going to be tuning into next month’s UFC 209 event for a heavyweight division clash between Mark Godbeer and Todd Duffee are going to be disappointed now.
According to a Facebook post by Godbeer, Duffee has suffered an undisclosed injury and he has been pulled from UFC 209. You can see the post below.
The good thing, according to Godbeer’s Facebook post is that the UFC has already contacted a replacement opponent, although that opponent is not known at this time.
While Godbeer has commented on the situation, neither the UFC or Duffee himself has commented on the fight cancellation.
UFC 209 takes place on Saturday, March 4 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Tyron Woodley and Stephen Thompson headlining.
