UFC has a banger of a main event for their first Fight Night of the New Year as Max Holloway fights Calvin Kattar.
The promotion confirmed Holloway and Kattar will battle for upwards of five-rounds on January 16. The card will be the promotion's first of 2021.
Holloway (21-6) is coming off consecutive losses to UFC featherweight champion Alex Volkanovski; however, there are many who believed he should have won the second bout — which ended via split decision. Kattar (22-44) has won back-to-back fights against Dan Ige and Jeremy Stephens.

"Blessed" is currently the number one contender at 145-pounds. Unfortunately, he is in limbo after losing two in a row to the current champion. Fortunately, there is a lot of interesting development in the division. Volkanovski is expected to defend his title against Brian Ortega, and Zabit Magomedsharipov and Yair Rodriguez are linked to each other.
