Is McGregor's UFC Return in Jeopardy?

MMA

By the looks of things, Conor McGregor is not going to be fighting until the end of 2023. He has released this claim, which has been a difficult pill for people to swallow. It has been announced that he was set to fight Chandler this year, but no date has been set for that. It also doesn’t look like it is any closer to being materialised. The Ultimate Fighter has also taken place this summer but the clash doesn’t look to be getting any closer.

According to McGregor, it might not happen this year at all. The dual-weight champion has come out to say in several voice notes that the UFC is refusing to let him fight. He believes he is ready and he has also waited a long time for the announcement. He wanted it to happen on the 16th of December but now it looks like it is all in jeopardy.

UFC Fight Night Macau Figueiredo vs Yan Results (11/23)

He has given up everything to make this fight happen but it looks like he is not having much luck. The fighter managed to break his leg in the second loss for him against Dustin Poirier. This happened in July 2021.

The Irishman

The Irishman, who is 35 years of age, is absent from the testing pool for dope. If fighters want to compete then they have to be part of the pool for a total of six months. They also have to show two negative test results. Conor cannot do this, as he is not part of the pool. If you want to try betting on MMA, then you will have to choose a different fight, as this one will not be happening until February 2024. He may be going to be granted an exception but right now, it doesn’t look like that is going to happen. He has said that he holds the power and as of right now, he is going to keep on doing his thing. He believes that he is in a great spot and that he cannot wait to see his fans once more.

Kept from his Livelihood

Conor believes that right now, he is being kept from his livelihood. He wants to try and make positive changes and he also wants to show that he is still a capable fighter. That being said, this doesn’t look to be possible, because if the UFC is not giving him a chance to fight then this is going to stunt his return. He is not going to be able to correct his recent losing record and he is also going to struggle to keep his name in circulation. With that in mind, it looks like he needs to do more to try and ensure that he can compete. If he had only signed up to the pool earlier, he would have been able to fight in December, and it is his own choice for not doing so. After breaking his leg, he has had a long recovery but he looks to be doing everything he can to get back on top again.

The Future for McGregor

Right now, fans are hopeful that McGregor is going to make a comeback but that being said, it might not happen. Enough delays have taken place for the fighter and if he does not work to deal with the source of the issue then he may not be able to come back to the ring at all. Although this would be disappointing to fans, people have to understand that he is responsible for the circumstances surrounding his delay.
