UFC Women’s Featherweight Champion Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino recently stated through Instagram that she'll be defending the title against Megan Anderson at UFC 221.

However, a bout between the two may not be happening yet according to the Invicta Fighting Championships Featherweight Champion in Anderson.

Anderson issued the following statement about a potential bout at UFC 221: 

 

The two were supposed to meet for the first time at UFC 214, but Anderson pulled out of the fight due to an injury and was replaced by Tonya Evinger.

Anderson was called the top contender by Cyborg after her win at UFC 219, despite never having competed in the UFC before.
