Michel Pereira wants to lay claim to being the BMF of UFC.
Pereira was on cloud nine following his win over Zelim Imadaev at UFC Vegas 9. It was a superb outing in which Pereira stumbled Imadaev with all manners of powerful strikes. He even partially landed a showtime kick. Questionable rear-naked choke finish aside, it was a possible 10-8 performance across all three rounds. A hyped-up Pereira called out Jorge Masvidal in his post-fight interview with Jon Anik.
"Dana White, Sean Shelby, I want the BMF belt," Pereira said. "Jorge Masvidal, be ready; you are next. AH! WOO!"

Masvidal is currently linked to a potential BMF rematch with Nate Diaz in early 2021.
