Michelle Waterson has revealed that "family issues" caused her to pull out of her UFC 257 clash against Amanda Ribas
"The Karate Hottie" was due to face Ribas on Fight Island but was forced to pull out due to unknown reasons at the time. Marina Rodriguez has since stepped in to fill in for Waterson and she has now revealed the reasons on "Oral Sessions with Renée Paquette"
"There is a lot going on internally," Waterson said. "We're having family issues. It wasn't even a choice. Family comes first, you know? The fight can wait."
Waterson defeated Angela Hill at UFC Vegas 10 in a five-round war. Although Waterson didn't give any specifics as to what were the issues, she hopes to put them past her as soon as possible and continue her dream of being a UFC champion in the strawweight division.
