The welterweight slugger wasn’t just defeated at UFC Fight Night Denver, but also had his arm broken during the bout.

Perry would acknowledge the injury via Twitter:

Cerrone also commented on the injury after the fight, saying he heard a pop while the arm bar was applied.

“I felt it pop before I went belly down,” Cerrone said backstage. “The rest was just tearing a chicken wing off. I was taking it home with me.”

There is no word at this time as to how long that Perry is going to be out of action for, but more should be known as the broken arm heals up.

While Cerrone did break the arm of Perry in their bout, it was a finish that gave Cerrone the record for most wins in UFC history and for the most finishes in UFC history.

A short time after the initial story came out, an update was provided by Perry on Instagram Stories, saying his arm isn't broken after all:

“This is my arm. No bones look broke but mri Thursday will show ligament, tendon and muscle damage”
