The Mohegan Tribe Athletic Department in Uncasville, Connecticut will be reviewing the judging of the Raufeon Stots vs. Danny Sabatello Bellator 289 main event that took place this past Friday night.
Mohegan Athletic Department Director of Athletics, Michael Mazzulli, provided journalist Ariel Helwani with the following statement regarding the situation. Judge Douglas Crosby's 50-45 scorecard in favor of Sabatello is what seems to have sparked the commission to take action. He followed that up with a 29-28 scorecard in favor of Paddy Pimblett in his co-main event bout against Jared Gordon at UFC 282 a night later in Las Vegas, Nevada which has drawn criticism from many within the MMA community.
